H2Flow DAF - Dissolved Air Flotation Treatment Here’s a video of one of our DAFs to better understand how the top skimmer operates. Sludge is removed from the top of the DAF by means of a motorized skimmer arrangement with blades. The sludge is pushed by the blades into the sludge hopper, and from there, a pump will transfer the sludge into a storage tank. Lastly, the effluent weir shows the treated water exiting the DAF.
